Scrolling Is Evil / Tomato Potato / Recipes
Five meat-free dinners from the Tomato Potato recipes. This is a five-day plan because only three of the sixteen recipes are filed as vegetarian: Pasta Primavera, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, and Lentil Soup. Cheese Quesadillas (filed under Snack) and Scrambled Eggs and Toast (filed under Breakfast) are meat-free too, so the plan uses them as the other two dinners. None of the five lists meat, poultry, fish or a meat-based broth; the two soups use vegetable broth. Cheddar and parmesan can be made with animal rennet, so check the label if that matters to you.
The recipes list 43 ingredient lines. Added together they are 29 lines, and a new install already covers 7 of those, which leaves 22 to buy.
Grouped by aisle in the order you walk a store: Produce, Bakery, Meat, Seafood, Dairy, Frozen, then Grains, Pantry, Oils, Condiments, Spices, Household and Other.
This is the list as Shop shows it, with the amount written before the name. The app puts the name on top and the amount underneath. Items a new install already has in Kitchen as Have it, and items the app treats as staples, show inside their aisle with an Add button and stay off the list you share or send to a cart. Tap Add on a row and it joins the list.
Cheddar shows on two lines because Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup counts slices while the other two recipes count cups, and Shop does not convert between them. Milk adds up to 18 tbsp, which is a cup and 2 tbsp. Sandwich bread, butter and milk are shared between recipes, and Scrambled Eggs and Toast serves 2 while the other four serve 4 or 6.
Tomato Potato is free to download. Free includes three saved imports and one Kroger or King Soopers cart. The plan, the list and store searches stay free. A subscription removes both limits for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Recipes stay on your phone.
