Scrolling Is Evil / Tomato Potato
Yes. The Mealime closing notice says Meals Hub can still work if there is no Albertsons Companies store near you. You can browse recipes, create meal plans, and generate shopping lists from Meals Hub even if you are unable to shop at an Albertsons Cos. store. Meals Hub is available through Albertsons Companies grocery store apps and websites, the notice says. It says to download any Albertsons Companies store app, tap the More icon in the bottom right corner, then tap Meals Hub, and to create an account or sign in on an Albertsons Cos. store app to access Meals Hub features. On an Albertsons Cos. store website, it says to select your local store, and that you are then redirected to the appropriate Meals Hub website experience. It does not say which store to select when none is near you.
The notice says Meals Hub includes all Mealime recipes plus thousands more, including recipes previously available through Mealime Pro. It says support for dietary preferences and food restrictions continues.
Dietary preferences can be selected and managed in your Meals Hub profile after signing in to an Albertsons Cos. store app, the notice says. It also says certain preferences and settings will need to be established directly in Meals Hub. It does not describe a transfer of those preferences, or of any other Mealime account data, into Meals Hub. It does not describe exporting saved favorites, meal plans or shopping lists, or copying those saved items into Meals Hub.
Pro fees, personal data and the rest of the notice are covered in what happens when Mealime shuts down.
Before October 21, copy a recipe's ingredients and steps from Mealime into the Paste a link field on Tomato Potato's Book tab, then tap Convert. If you cannot copy the text, take screenshots of that one recipe. Tap Photo. If the app asks before the photos are sent, tap Allow. Then tap Choose photos and select up to 4 screenshots. The full steps, including Check the recipe and Save to book, are on how to keep your recipes.
Copies you make are for your own cooking. The recipes belong to their authors.
