24 Hours is a time budget app. You give each goal its share of the 24 hours of a day (sleep 8, work 6, exercise 1), press Start when you begin one, and watch its countdown. One timer runs at a time, so an hour spent on one goal comes out of the day. It is free to use with up to 10 goals. One optional purchase, Supporter, costs US$9.99 once. There is no subscription and no account.

How a day works
Pick a starter plan (Balanced Day, Workday, Student, Fitness Reset, Weekend or Deep Work) or add your own goals. Each goal has a name, an amount of time, the weekdays it applies to, and tags. Press Start to begin a goal's countdown and Pause to stop it. The ring on the home screen shows each goal's share of the day and the hours left.
At your day start, which is midnight unless you pick another time in Settings, the day is saved to history and daily goals start full again. An overnight goal such as Sleep, started from 6 pm, counts on the day you wake. Weekly goals, such as 8 hours a week for a language, count up time from any day of the week and are not part of the daily ring. You can also log time you already spent, including time that crossed midnight.
Timers outside the app
A running countdown keeps going when the app is closed or the phone is locked. On iPhone with iOS 16.2 or newer it shows on the Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island on iPhones that have one. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, also on iOS 16.2 or newer, show the hours left today. A Shortcut starts today's goal, and a widget can pause the running goal. On Android a running goal shows as an ongoing notification with Pause, Resume and Stop, and a home screen widget shows the hours left. An alert when a running goal reaches its time is off until you turn it on.
History and Trends
History keeps up to 90 days, and you can edit any of them. Trends cover the last 30 days. Share day makes a picture of your day for the share sheet, and Export CSV copies your history to the clipboard.
Free features and Supporter
The free app includes up to 10 goals on the weekdays you choose, weekly goals, the countdown on the Lock Screen (iOS 16.2 and newer) and in the Dynamic Island on iPhones that have one, widgets and shortcuts, logging past time, Trends for 30 days, edits to the last 90 days, the picture of your day, CSV, a backup file you save and restore yourself, and the Navy, Indigo Focus and AMOLED Black themes in light and dark.
Supporter is one optional purchase of US$9.99, paid once. Google Play and the App Store show the price for your country. It adds unlimited goals, one-time goals for a single date, 90-day Trends with custom ranges and weekday and tag breakdowns, six more color themes, and backup to your own Google Drive. It is not a subscription, and the free app keeps working if you never buy it.
Where your data is kept
Goals, timers, history and settings are stored on your device. There is no account, no ads and no analytics, and the developer does not receive your goals or timers. The purchase goes through Google Play or the App Store and is checked by RevenueCat, which does not receive your goals, timers or history. Settings shows a list of our other apps, loaded from a public file on this site. If you turn on Google Drive backup, the app asks for Google sign-in and writes a backup to a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. There is no live sync between devices. Yes. In 24 Hours every goal has its own countdown, and a ring on the home screen shows each goal's share of the day and the hours left. Goals have an amount of time and the weekdays they apply to, not a clock time, so it does not place tasks on a calendar.

Is there a subscription?

Does 24 Hours need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login, and 24 Hours has no ads and no analytics. Goals and history stay on your phone. Google sign-in is used only if you turn on the optional Google Drive backup.
Does 24 Hours work offline?
Yes. Goals, countdowns, history and Trends work with no connection. The app goes online only to check the Supporter purchase, to load the list of our other apps in Settings, and for Google Drive backup if you turn it on.

Does 24 Hours back up or sync between devices?
There is no live sync between devices. You can save a backup file of your goals and history and restore it yourself. Supporter adds backup to your own Google Drive, by hand or automatically, in a hidden app folder.
Can I export my history from 24 Hours?
Yes. Export CSV copies your history to the clipboard, and Share day makes a picture of the day for the share sheet. You can also save a backup file.
Is 24 Hours a time tracker for billing clients?
No. 24 Hours is a personal time budget for your own day. It has no clients, projects or invoices, so it is not built for billing.
Which languages does 24 Hours support?
The app screens are in English. The App Store and Google Play listings are also translated into German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
