iPhone, iPad and Android
RepMark is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android, with the same logging, routines, calendar, records, stats, import and export, and the same five languages. Supporter is the same one-time purchase on both. Restore brings it back with your Apple account on iPhone and iPad or your Google account on Android. Google Drive backup is available to Supporters on both.
The rest timer alert is the one place the platforms differ in how they work. On Android, RepMark schedules the alert as an exact alarm when Android allows it and as a less precise one when it does not, so the alert can arrive a little late on some phones.
Logging a workout
Start a workout for a day and choose strength, cardio, mixed or other. Add exercises from the library and log each set with weight and reps, then check it off. Sets can be marked as warm-up or working. Cardio sets take duration and distance, with more fields such as calories. You can add a note to a set or a whole workout, mark supersets and circuits, and run a session timer.
A set with no weight is a bodyweight set. A negative weight such as -15 is an assisted set, bodyweight minus 15. The rest timer can start when you check off a set, and it can send one notification when the rest ends, which is the only notification the app sends. A plate calculator shows the plates for each side of the bar.
Routines and the calendar
A routine is a template with exercises and default sets, reps and weights. It can repeat on the weekdays you choose, and Today shows what is scheduled. Starting a routine fills in the weights and reps so you check off sets as you go. Routines can sit in program folders. You can copy any past workout to another day. The Calendar tab shows a month grid of your training days, and History lists every session.
Exercise library
The library has 153 built-in exercises, grouped by category, with search, favorites and tags for muscle and equipment. You can add your own exercises. Built-in exercise names are translated in German, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Personal records
A strength set is a record when no earlier completed set has both at least its weight and at least its reps. Bodyweight sets compete at zero added weight. Cardio records cover duration, distance, calories, speed, pace and watts. The set is marked as it is logged. You can share a personal record or a workout as an image.
Stats and body measurements
Stats shows weekly workout counts, completed sets, and week, month, year and all-time volume for free. Body measurements track weight, body fat and other measurements.
Import and export
Export writes a JSON backup through the share sheet to wherever you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive on iPhone and iPad, or Files or Google Drive on Android. Import restores that file. A records CSV export shares sets, notes, cardio metrics and records. Import workouts reads CSV exports from Strong, Hevy and FitNotes, shows you the workouts first, and adds only the ones you tick without changing existing workouts. A general CSV import maps columns such as Date, Exercise, Weight, Reps, Time, Distance and Calories.
Free features and Supporter
Logging, routines, the calendar, history, the rest timer, the plate calculator, personal record marks, week to all-time totals, body measurements, import, export and sharing are free. Supporter is one optional purchase of US$7.99, paid once, and it is not a subscription. It adds the year training heatmap, estimated 1RM and cardio trend charts, the full records book, all color palettes, and automatic Google Drive backup.
Where your workouts are kept
Workouts, routines, exercises, records, measurements and notes are stored on your phone. RepMark has no account, ads or analytics. The one outside service is RevenueCat, which checks the Supporter purchase and does not receive your workout data. The app also loads a public list of our other apps from scrollingisevil.com, and that request carries no data from the app. If a Supporter turns on Google Drive backup, RepMark signs in to Google and stores a backup in the hidden app-data folder of that Drive. Settings, Clear all data deletes the workout data from the phone. Read the full privacy policy.
Questions
What is a good workout tracker for lifting?
RepMark is a workout tracker built around weightlifting, with cardio and other training supported. You log sets by weight and reps, repeat routines on set weekdays, and see personal records as you log. It stores everything on your phone and needs no account.
Is RepMark on Android?
Yes. RepMark is on Google Play for Android 7.0 and later, and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Both versions have the same logging, routines, personal records, import and export, and the same Supporter purchase. On Android the store listing is named RepMark: Gym Workout Log.
Does RepMark need an account?
No. RepMark has no sign-up or account, and your workouts, routines and notes stay in a database on your phone. They leave the phone only when you export a file, share an image, or turn on Supporter Google Drive backup.
How much does RepMark cost?
RepMark is free. One optional purchase, Supporter, costs US$7.99 once, and the App Store and Google Play show the price for your country. Logging, routines, the calendar, history, the rest timer, import and export are free.
Is there a subscription in RepMark?
No. Supporter is a single payment of US$7.99 and is not a subscription. If you reinstall or change phones, Restore in the Supporter screen brings it back with the same Apple account on iPhone and iPad or the same Google account on Android.
What does RepMark Supporter add?
Supporter adds the year training heatmap, estimated 1RM charts and cardio trend charts, the full records book grouped by exercise, all color palettes, and automatic Google Drive backup. The full set history, week to all-time totals and personal record marks stay free.
Does RepMark work offline?
Yes. Logging, routines, the calendar, stats, the rest timer, import and export all work with no connection. RepMark goes online to check the Supporter purchase, to load a public list of our other apps, and to back up to Google Drive if a Supporter turns that on.
Does RepMark back up or sync between devices?
RepMark does not sync between devices. Export writes a JSON backup file that you keep wherever you like and import on a new phone. Supporters can also turn on automatic backup to the hidden app-data folder of their own Google Drive.
Can I import my workouts from Strong, Hevy or FitNotes into RepMark?
Yes. Settings, Import workouts reads CSV exports from Strong, Hevy and FitNotes. You see every workout first, tick the ones to add, and existing workouts are not overwritten.
Can I export my data from RepMark?
Yes. Export writes all your data as a JSON file through the share sheet, and Import restores it. A separate export shares your sets, notes, cardio metrics and records as a CSV file.
How does RepMark detect personal records?
A completed strength set is a record when no earlier completed set has both at least its weight and at least its reps. Bodyweight sets count at zero added weight, and a less-assisted set beats a more-assisted one. Cardio has records for duration, distance, calories, speed, pace and watts.
Which languages does RepMark support?
RepMark is in English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and the built-in exercise names are translated too. It uses the phone's language when it is one of these and English otherwise.
Does RepMark have a rest timer and a plate calculator?
Yes, both are free. The rest timer can start when you check off a set and can send one notification when the rest ends. The plate calculator shows the plates to load on each side of the bar.
