Summary
Fix Back Pain is designed so your workout logs, pain logs, and related notes stay on your device by default. We do not operate a user database in the app for that information. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we use RevenueCat to validate entitlements and unlock Fix Back Pain Pro. Optional local reminders are scheduled on your device. If you use backup export, you choose where files go (for example email or cloud storage)—we do not receive that file unless you send it to us.
Information the app stores on your device
The app uses on-device storage (for example platform “preferences” / local storage) to run features, including:
- Pain tracking: dates, self-reported pain levels (for example on a 1–10 scale), and optional text notes you enter.
- Workouts: dates, progression stage, and per-set details you log (such as reps, hold duration, optional weight, and range-of-motion where applicable).
- Program state: baseline pain values, progression stage, onboarding and guide flags, achievements, and similar app state.
- Preferences: appearance (such as theme), display preferences (such as weight units), and Pro unlock status cached locally after verification.
- Reminders (optional): whether reminders are enabled and what times you chose; schedules are applied with local notifications on supported platforms.
Uninstalling the app or using in-app reset (where available) may delete some or all of this data according to your device and the app’s behavior. Pro purchase records are tied to your Apple ID or Google account through the stores; see Purchases below.
Information we (or our processors) may process
Purchases and Pro status (RevenueCat + app stores)
Fix Back Pain Pro is offered as a one-time (non-subscription) purchase (typically described as lifetime access to the current Pro feature set), unless we clearly state otherwise in the store listing at the time of purchase.
When you buy or restore Pro:
- Apple or Google processes payment and provides purchase receipts according to their policies.
- We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to validate purchases, manage entitlements, and help with restore purchases. RevenueCat may process technical identifiers (such as an app user ID), purchase transaction information, device/app metadata needed for fraud prevention and support, and related data as described in RevenueCat’s privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
We do not need your pain or workout history to process a purchase.
Optional backup export (Pro)
If you use export / backup (a Pro feature), the app builds a file (for example CSV) on your device and may open the system share sheet. Where that file goes (email, files app, cloud provider, another person) is your choice. We do not receive that export unless you deliberately send it to us (for example as a support attachment).
Support
If you email us (for example at support@scrollingisevil.com), we receive whatever you choose to include (which could include health-related information if you put it in the message). We use support correspondence only to respond and improve the product, subject to applicable law.
What we do not do (as shipped)
Unless we disclose otherwise in an updated policy or in-app notice:
- We do not require you to create an in-app account for core features.
- We do not sync your pain logs or workout history to our own servers for normal app operation.
- The app is not intended to include third-party advertising or behavioral ad tracking as part of its core design.
If you add analytics, crash reporting, or other SDKs later, update this policy and your Apple Privacy Nutrition Labels and Google Play Data safety form to match.
Local notifications
If you enable reminders, the OS may show notifications at the times you set. Notification content is generated on-device for scheduling; we do not need a server to deliver those reminders. You can turn reminders off in app or in system settings.
Permissions
Depending on platform and your choices, the app may request permissions such as internet access (for purchases/entitlement checks), billing (Google Play), or notification permissions. We request only what is needed for the described features.
Health-related information
Pain levels and workout logs may be sensitive or health-related for you. They are stored locally in the app as described above. The app is not a medical device and does not replace professional care; see the Terms of Service and in-app disclaimers.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as part of the app’s design. If you believe a child has provided information to us through support or another channel, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object or restrict certain processing. Much of the app data is only on your device—you can delete it with in-app tools (where available), by uninstalling, or by managing files you exported. For purchase history, use Apple or Google account tools and Restore purchases in the app as appropriate.
To exercise rights or ask questions about data we hold from support email or RevenueCat/store processing, contact support@scrollingisevil.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
International users
If you use the app from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our processors operate, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
Security
We rely on platform security and reputable payment/subscription infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the app and export features with that in mind.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same URL (or a successor URL we link from the store listing) and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
