Twenty one seconds, recorded on a real device. Log a set, run the rest timer, log a pain level, and watch the program ease your stage back because the number came in above baseline.
FAQ
Is this a treatment or a cure for back pain?
No. Low Back Pain Coach is an education and self-management tool, not a medical device or treatment. It helps you do one strengthening movement progressively and track how your back responds. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.
Who is it for?
People with chronic or recurrent low back pain who are past the acute stage and have been told to strengthen their back, plus lifters and gym-goers progressing the back-extension / hyperextension bench. It is not for acute, severe, or red-flag pain, see a clinician first.
Do I need a hyperextension bench?
Yes. A back-extension bench (also called a Roman chair or hyperextension bench) is used for every stage, including the early isometric holds and partial reps. The app guides you through each stage on the bench.
What does the Supporter unlock add?
The core plan is free forever. The one-time $4.99 Supporter unlock adds unlimited history and backup/export. There is no subscription.
Does my data leave my phone?
No, by default. Everything is stored on your device and the app works fully offline. Optional Supporter backup can save a private file to your own Google Drive, never to a developer server.
How does it decide when to advance?
You set a baseline for your typical daily pain. The app compares recent logs, especially day-after-workout pain, to that baseline. Below baseline, it suggests advancing; at baseline, holding; above baseline, easing off.
